East End Women's Choir to Hold Performances in June The East End Women's Choir (EEWC) will hold two final concerts and the first is at PCM on Sunday, June 2 at 5:00 pm. Let's all purchase a ticket and have an enjoyable night out! The Director of the EEWC is our own Kamilla Ozman, our church organist and choir director. If you are unable to attend the "home" concert, there is an opportunity to hear the Choir Sunday, June 9, at 5:00 pm at St. Louis De Montfort Roman Catholic Church, 75 New York Avenue in Sound Beach, NY. East End Women's Choir is a intergenerational group of musicians dedicated to excellence in the performance of women's choral literature. The choir performs two major concerts during the year, in January and in June. In addition to these concerts, the choir sponsors various community events, including a cabaret night in the Spring. In the Fall of 2013, Mrs. Ozman created the East End Women’s Choir. Under her direction, this intergenerational group of musicians provides artistic performances of quality choral literature to local communities. This group was very excited to perform as an invited guest choir at the Fall 2016 NYACDA conference. In November 2018 East End Women's Choir participated in the Sounds of the Season at Radio City Music Hall, and opened for the world famous Rockettes. East End Women's choir consists of members who are music educators, directors of school and church ensembles, solo artists, and women who enjoy ensemble singing. In a short amount of time the group has grown to become a diversely talented group of 45 women. Rehearsals take place every Thursday evening from 7:00-9:30 PM at the Presbyterian Church of the Moriches, 263 Main Street in Center Moriches. Mrs. Ozman earned a BS in Music Education from Concordia College in Bronxville, New York and a MA in Music from Long Island University, CW Post in Greenvale, New York. She has professional memberships in NAfME (National Association of Music Educators), ACDA (American Choral Directors Association), Chorus America, NYSSMA (New York State School Music Association) and SCMEA.
